After a heart stent is placed, you have to remain flat for four hours. Four hours passed, the nurse raised the head of my bed 35 degrees and my world went wrong. I passed out and had a seizure from a retroperitoneal bleed, an internal hemorrhage. After regaining consciousness, my blood pressure was 55/35. I seriously thought I was going to die and had just said my last goodbye to my husband. Who knew, “same day surgery” would mean two emergency surgeries in the same day!
After the second surgery and blood transfusions, the road to recovery was finally coming into focus. Praise God!
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
