Don't eat lemons, make lemonade – Making life sweet in the bitter moments

Menu:

Another cause using lemonade!

Greg and I met some friends at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill in Brentwood, TN. for dinner recently.  When reading the menu I was so surprised seeing the following statement under the Lemonade item:

Alex’s Fresh Lemonade

For every Alex’s Fresh Lemonade purchase, $1.25 will be donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to fight childhood cancer.  Thanks to your generosity, we’ve donated more than $3.5 million dollars since 2012!

Any cause fighting childhood cancer is very dear to my heart.  I have a nephew that has been fighting Ewing Sarcoma since 2021.

Of course, I had to order a glass of lemonade.  Although I don’t like lemons or lemonade, this was really good.  The food was amazing as well.  If you are in Brentwood, stop in for a meal or at least a glass of lemonade.  You will be supporting a worthy cause.

I’m Susan

Thank you for visiting my site.

It is with great determination that I am living life to the fullest as I journey through my retirement years with
Heart Disease and Parkinson’s.
I hope you find encouragement as you follow along on my journey.

Motto’s I live by:

  • If you’re living in fear, you’re not living in faith.
  • Today I refuse to stress myself out about things I cannot control or change.
  • It’s hard to have a bad attitude, when you start your day with gratitude.

Favorite scripture:

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 NIV
